Intro

• Background: A client from Malaysia wanted to start her wholesale skincare business by exporting raw materials. However, it was difficult to find an OEM partner that would help with the formula development and manufacturing. Here’s how TY OEM helped her make that into a possibility.

This Case is dedicated to salon owners and stylists who want to have their own product or back bar stock. These products come in large bulk containers with no logo and no label for you to add your own or repackage and sell for retail.

Initial Consultation

During our initial consultation with the client, she informed us that she already has the clientele in Malaysia. She wanted a line of skincare and beauty products in bulk.
She sent us photos and videos of what she wanted, so we had an idea of what she wanted. We also sent our product catalog so she could have a better understanding of what we offer. Additionally, we sent her the list of ingredients we will use as per her request.
One of her unique requests was to make the formulation unscented because she will add the scents herself. She also wanted the products made for sensitive skin, and instant whitening.

Sampling and Quotation

After we agreed, we created a sample for her.
The samples we sent her included sunscreen spray,hair serum and makeup remover. The sample was ready and was shipped to Malaysia in two days. Even at the sampling stage, the client was happy with our fast response and delivery.

Customer Feedback

Even before the client received the samples, she was very happy because we were able to produce the color she wanted for her product. When she tried the samples, she was satisfied with the texture of the sunscreen. As for the cleansing balm, she said it smelled similarly with the Glow recipe brand, while the mositurizer was better than Garnier.
As per the results, she was also satisfied because the products were effective. She especially mentioned the instant whitening cream, saying she tried it on her husband and the result was seen in just a few seconds.

Ordering Process

During this stage, we talked more about the nitty-gritty details of her order, including the packaging and delivery time.
For the 250kg order, we assured her that it will be delivered after 7 days. She was shocked because manufacturing time was fast. We also showed her if the packaging we’re using for the bulk order is agreeable for her. After everything was agreed upon, we started the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing and Delivery

The client wanted to have a video of the manufacturing process, and we obliged. We sent her video clips and photos of what was happening in every phase of the production down to the packaging and shipping of her products.
The client was happy that even before she received her initial order, she placed a new order of 100kg of sunscreen.
